Bro. Bob was called to pastor Fairy Baptist Church in August of 1965 while Bob was attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He received his Masters of Divinity Degree in May of 1975. Bob has always been a Bivocational pastor working for FreightMaster in Ft. Worth for many years until he was hired by the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptist) to become the Director of the Office of Bivocational and Smaller Church Ministries. He retired from Texas Baptist in December 2007. Bob was married to the love of his life Rosalind Ray who led worship at Fairy Baptist Church for 58 years until she was called to her Eternal Home on January 1, 2024. Bob resides on their goat ranch living in the Fairy community as he continues to pastor the church.
